Where do they come from? Where do they go?
By James | February 8, 2007
Today I went to Waffle House for lunch. I sat at the bar next to a little old lady who wanted to make sure that I knew "they have good eggs here."
"They sure do," I responded a little too enthusiastically, "but my favorite is the hash browns."
"Yeah! And they have good eggs too!" She seemed happy to have someone talking to her.
The waitress, obviously tired of hearing the old woman talk about Waffle House’s eggs, just nodded and walked away.
“Well screw you,” the old lady said under her breath. I looked over in mild disbelief and caught her eye. “Well screw her,” she said, “they do have good eggs here.”
“They sure do.”
